I have spoken with the Childrens Diabetic Nurses at Poole Hospital, and they are really pleased that we will be able to make a donation to them.  there was words of ... "wow, oh great, oh thank you so much".  

So I would like to thank everyone in the club who has made this donation possible, being a diabetic and being kid once back in the dark ages.

The nurses will get in touch with the NHS PR machine and so at the presentation we can expect some great photographers and press in attendance, and hopefully they will get Daibetes UK to attend, the national charity and that could mean national coverage for the National Can Am Car Club!  All the money however will go to Diabetic Children of East Dorset.

I will let you know when and where the presentation will be taking place in due course.

Thanx Chris For clarifying that, what a suberb charity, well deserved!, my mother -in-law suffers frim diabetes, albeit not as severelely as some ( we sympathise with you all) but non the less a well deserved charity and one we will be proud to support!

OK, I heard from the Hospital contact today, and they are going to arrange parking for us (however many that may be), in the hospital grounds / car park on Sunday February 14th.  They will be asking the Bournemouoth Echo to come along, and I will also put in some requests to other local press.

I suppose the best idea would be to meet at Seaview, with a leaving time of 2.45 then we can cruise to the hospital and arrive in our usual spectacular way

Hope fully there will be some diabetic children there as well so we all should have a great feel good factor on this one.
